A Start

Welcome to my blog. Don't know if anyone will ever actually read this, but it will be goood to put up something. Not sure what I'll be putting up consistently, but there's always lots to cover. I consider myself well versed in history (have a degree), politics, religion (mostly Christianity but have some knowledge of others), and sports. My opinions tend to go against the mainstream. In fact, I hate the mainstream. I hate that this country was founded to allow people develop and express their own beliefs, but most Americans would rather stay ignorant or silent or both. Maybe I'm a late developer, but I've really hit that adolescent outsider perspective. Perhaps, it is just a matter of most people not being able to express a rational belief that sounds like they put more thought into it than regurgitating what someone else said. My greatest interest, sports, is most guilty of this. Sportswriters, commentators, and ESPN in general are my greatest targets of disdain. Oh, and Fox has the worst sports productions. Totally inane and pointless chatter, obnoxious analysts, terrible play-by-play, and far too many graphics and special "in the game" features. For most professional observers of sports, it's all about villanizing athletes who don't like them, lioninzing those who kiss their collective ass, and daily rephrasing the cliches and conventional wisdom that keeps them from actually having to think. Anyways, I hope those who begin to read this enjoy it. I hope I stick with it and produce something consistently. Lord knows I love to share my opinions. Oh, and I have an above average knowledge of movies.
